This can be done manually or via scripting against a REST API. It uses a spine and leaf architechure to allow east/west traffic to scale. It uses industry standard technologies such as MPBGP and VXLAN. This allows for a routed data center network that can extend layer 2 domains anywhere in the DC without the risks of extending layer 2 domains via spanning-tree.
